What CarFix does, and what it does not do

These terms govern use of the CarFix directory, CarFix AI assistance, accounts, and booking requests. Creating an account or sending a booking requires explicit acceptance of the current version.

Safety comes before the website

CarFix is not an emergency service, roadside assistance, or a professional diagnosis. If vehicle safety is uncertain, stop in a safe place and contact a qualified professional, roadside assistance, or the appropriate emergency service.

1. CarFix’s role

CarFix is a digital directory and intermediary platform. CarFix does not inspect, maintain, repair, wash, transport, insure, or certify vehicles. Unless expressly stated otherwise, CarFix is not a party to the service contract between the user and the selected workshop, bodyshop, tyre specialist, or car wash.

2. Provider information

CarFix takes reasonable steps to structure and review public information, but services, represented brands, authorizations, opening hours, availability, and contact details can change. Users must confirm important facts directly with the provider, especially brand authorization, warranty and recall handling, vehicle compatibility, and ability to perform the requested work.

3. AI assistance and guidance

CarFix AI results are automated, probabilistic information intended to prepare a conversation with a professional. They are not a diagnosis, safety certification, or repair instruction. Physical inspection by a qualified professional remains necessary. Only attempt a check yourself when it is clearly safe, lawful, and possible without tools, dismantling, or dangerous movement of the vehicle.

4. Prices

Published prices, starting prices, market ranges, and AI estimates are informational and may be incomplete or change. They are not a binding quote from CarFix or the provider. The provider’s diagnosis, agreed scope, and confirmed final quote determine the applicable price.

5. Bookings and the provider relationship

A request remains a request until confirmed. A confirmed slot reserves time but does not approve a diagnosis, work scope, or final price. The provider remains responsible for its quote, work, parts, custody of the vehicle, warranties, invoicing, and damage arising from its intervention. Payment is made directly to the provider unless expressly stated otherwise.

6. User responsibilities

Users provide accurate information, protect account access, check details before sending, and do not use CarFix for unlawful or dangerous content. A critical warning light, stop instruction, manufacturer instruction, or professional opinion must not be ignored because a website suggestion appears reassuring.

7. Third-party services and links

Google Maps, reviews, provider and manufacturer websites, electronic communications, and other third-party services remain subject to their own terms. CarFix does not control their availability, content, or data processing.

8. Service availability

CarFix may correct, update, suspend, or remove a feature or listing. Continuous, error-free, uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed. Important booking details should be retained from the confirmation email or verified directly with the provider.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intent or gross negligence. To the extent permitted by law, CarFix does not assume liability for provider or third-party acts and omissions, decisions made without professional inspection despite warnings, third-party information that has become inaccurate, or indirect loss arising from interruption or use contrary to these terms.

10. Intellectual property and reuse

CarFix software, original editorial text, interface design, CarFix branding, and the original selection and structure of the directory are protected. Except for normal personal use and search-engine indexing that follows the published robots directives, no one may without written permission copy or republish a substantial part of the service, perform systematic or bulk extraction, create a dataset, train a model, reproduce the visual experience, or bypass technical measures. Third-party trademarks, ratings, maps, business facts, and other third-party materials remain with their respective rights holders and subject to their terms.

11. Governing law

Swiss law applies. Mandatory places of jurisdiction, including consumer protections, remain reserved. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
